Mongrela is proud to support Dog & Cat Cozy Shelter in Lopburi, Thailand, by improving its cat housing facility. Previously, the shelter had a bare concrete floor, which raised serious hygiene concerns for both the cats and the caretakers. Additionally, the roof was a temporary structure, offering poor protection and limited daylight—making the space less healthy and less comfortable for the animals.

Recognizing these critical issues, we teamed up with a local contractor to enhance the facility in a cost-effective yet impactful way. A new translucent roof was installed to allownatural daylight in, improving both visibility and the well-being of the cats. We also replaced the concrete floor with mixed ceramic tiles, making the space easier to clean and cooler—creating a healthier environment for the animals.

The use of leftover and mixed tile stock was intentional. We asked the contractor to blend the tiles creatively, forming a kind of visual tapestry. This beautiful, patchwork floor symbolizes Mongrela’s core belief: that even different, unexpected pieces can come together to create something meaningful—just like the mongrels we care for.
